Who Are
We? |
| M.O.V.E. is an organization
comprised of and primarily for Persons With Felony
Convictions (PWFCs)
and their families so they can help themselves by exercising collective
bargaining power, form a voting block, promote a legislative agenda, and
to provide financial assistance to its membership. |

What Is
Our Mission? |
| The members of M.O.V.E. envision an
environment where P.W.F.C.'s can be fully reintegrated and contributing
to society with dignity. To accomplish this, M.O.V.E,’s mission
will include taking advantage of opportunities to advocate on behalf of
its membership, formulating and proposing a legislative agenda that
benefits its membership, maintaining the means for the organization to
be financially self-supporting, and to allow for an inviting and caring
opportunity for its membership to engage in social healing. |

What Do
We Do? |
- M.O.V.E. is currently working
with legislators to change the law to expunge qualified criminal
records and to significantly limit non-enforcement agencies from
accessing criminal records.
- M.O.V.E. is working with
social agencies to provide G.E.D. readiness training.
- M.O.V.E. is working with local
government and social agencies to provide one-on-one and group
mentoring for young people, and for currently-incarcerated, and
recently-released individuals.
- M.O.V.E. offers a weekly group
rap session as a forum for members and their guests to discuss
relevant socio-economic and other issues affecting P.W.F.C.'s and
their families.
- M.O.V.E. seeks to be in a
position to provide financial assistance for legitimate needs of
members, family members, and worthy causes/organizations.
